Ottawa Waterfall Engagement Session – Guestbook DesignAugust 20, 2014
We are very excited for the latest issue of Wedluxe magazine to hit stands on June 23rd, 2014. Look for our gorgeous Dolce and Gabbana inspired style file “Teatro Verde”. A stunning and lush editorial that will inspire that bride whose feet are firmly planted on the ground but who wants to create a luxurious experience for her closest friends and family in an intimate setting. What I love about the editorial is that it is an achievable floral design and in a colour that is always fresh and classic. The Ines Di Santo wedding gown is perfect for the setting and adds an airy natural softness and the amazing shoes? Well those aren’t Jimmy Choo or the expected Louboutins…nope stright from Spring Shoes for under $100 🙂 I think you will really enjoy this beautiful editorial with the creative direction from the lovely and talented Paige Lewis of Paige Lewis Events in Toronto.
We are also excited about another one of our editorials that will be in this issue, “Inspired by the Colours of Capri”. With the talent from Covers Couture and 24 Karat Events, this is an editorial that will appeal to the young vibrant Kate Spade inspired bride. Full of colour that is bright but not overwhelming. The eclectic mix of florals in this style file includes citrus fruits, anemones as well as classic peonies, roses and hydrangeas. The desserts for designed to take inspiration from the gorgeous red Valentino shoes and all the beautiful colourful floral yumminess. I look forward to the blog post on Wedluxe BLog so that you can see the full suite of desserts from the talented Connie Cupcake.
So be on the lookout for the new issue and our new ad seen below. We can”t wait to see this new issue that will be full of colour inspired wedding ideas!
Stacey and Jess’s Party – Ashley Lindzon EventsApril 9, 2013
Here are a few shots from Stacey and Jess’s birthday party, that I got to shoot a few weekends ago. We were so excited to be working with Ashley Lindzon of Ashley Lindzon Events. All the details came together beautifully as these two girls celebrated their important day. With a few hand made details by Ashley, and sweets done by the always amazing Sophie of Sophie Bifield Cake Company, it was pleasing to the eyes, soul, and of course – taste buds. It will be finished with a glass cover to show threw the cover image below – I am really excited about this album because it also features printing on Hannamule fine art paper giving it a beautiful balance with modern materials and classic fine art treatment.

Special thanks to Liz at Halftone Media for her excellent graphic design work to create this beautiful album and showcase the work so beautifully.

Ottawa Wedding at the WestinOctober 18, 2011
It really was love at first sight for both Kate and Ian. The speeches reveal so much about so many aspects of a couple- who they were, who they are apart and who they have become together. Kate and Ian are a dynamic, engaging, generous and super fun couple with families that match that description. She came originally from New Brunswick, and, as her sister noted…hearts are breaking there now that the much beloved Kate’s heart has been stolen…Ian is the dashing and charming queen’s grad that travelled in Tawain to teach and now has the priviledge of working alongside his sister and brother in a business that they are building together.
Both Kate and Ian were surrounded by over 200 of their closest friends and family…and I really mean it – this much loved couple had guests come from all over the globe and as close as New York and New Brunswick to be apart of celebrating this wonderful couple. Not to mention, Kate and her nurse work colleagues spent a full day making over 200 candy apple favors by hand…that’s friendship and then some! I mentioned in their engagement post that “the Burn’s” – (Ian’s family) used to live on my street in Manor Park …and so it was a quite a treat to see so many of my own lovely neighbors looking dashing and in attendance. At the end of the evening, I received the warmest thank you…to be added among their stellar groups of friends. My warmest congratulations to you both, it was a spectacular day and have a wonderful trip to Hawaii!

Vintage Wedding at Stonefields Heritage Farm – OttawaSeptember 19, 2011
Sarah and Steve were referred by their wedding planner Allison Turner of Live Love Plan – they were planning a chic modern tent wedding in a charming vintage style at a beautiful venue in Beckwith Ontario, called Stonefields Heritage Farm. Sarah and Steve are heaps of fun and they are equally rivalled by the wonderful clan of folks that surround them. Much like they are, the feel of the wedding day was unfussed with a laid back pace that allowed the large wedding party to spend time being together as the wonderful groups of friends that they are while also having time to squish cheeks with their beautiful baby daughter Olivia. Surrounded by the love of their parents, friends and family and with a little Barry White in the Grooms speech – it was a truly amazing day to be a part of. It was a honor for me to document the day…
Special thanks to Allison Turner of Live Love Plan for being such an amazing wedding planner to work with and to the lovely ladies at Sparrow Floral Design who blew me away with their talent! And always thanks to Stephanie and Steve the hosts at Stonefields Heritage Farm, they are always gracious, welcoming and an absolute pleasure to work with. Special thanks also to the lovely Anna Epp for assisting and being flawless!

Toronto Engagement Session – Distillery DistrictJuly 15, 2011
Maria is the younger sister of one of my very dear friends from University. I have known her through the years and now I will have the honor of capturing her wedding at the Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club just outside Toronto this Saturday as she marries the love of her life, Joe. There was screaming and jumping and all the things that ladies do when they hear the big news. I felt like I was asked to be in the bridal party- it’s so special to me. I can’t imagine any other way to be at a wedding other than capturing all the special moments of so many people I personally care about while doing something I love so much. A very special weekend ahead…I am so looking forward to it! Here are some of the images from their engagement in the Distillery District in Toronto.
