While weddings take up a good portion of my work as a photographer, I am very lucky to have families that I work with as their family photographer. I am able to watch their sweet families grow and watch the children get bigger every year. The Acharya’s a re no exception. I have been  photographing them right around the arrival of their third little one. And since then have been around to now see the family grow to four active little people. We always work together to create phenomenal custom holiday cards  year over year…trying to beat last years’ design. It’s a very special thing to be given the honor of family photographer, the one that comes along and documents your family each year. And, when I show up and hear the little squirts yelling “auntie Melanie!” with a big hug…and dad’s got a warm coffee in hand for your arrival …well you know you are more than just some gal with a camera…you are truly part of someone’s lives…here are some favorites from our session:

Sarah and Steve were referred by their wedding planner Allison Turner of Live Love Plan – they were planning a chic modern tent wedding in a charming vintage style at a beautiful venue in Beckwith Ontario, called Stonefields Heritage Farm. Sarah and Steve are heaps of fun and they are equally rivalled by the wonderful clan of folks that surround them. Much like they are, the feel of the wedding day was unfussed with a laid back pace that allowed the large wedding party to spend time being together as the wonderful groups of friends that they are while also having time to squish cheeks with their beautiful baby daughter Olivia. Surrounded by the love of their parents, friends and family and with a little Barry White in the Grooms speech – it was a truly amazing day to be a part of. It was a honor for me to document the day…

Special thanks to Allison Turner of Live Love Plan for being such an amazing wedding planner to work with and to the lovely ladies at Sparrow Floral Design who blew me away with their talent!
