In launching the new brand we have found the perfect gift for clients from Angee W – Elegantly furnished with your engagement or boudoir photography
It’s been a journey over the last few years as my photographystudio has evolved. Finally I have sat down with a designer to nail down what my brand is all about. How I want it to feel, to reflect what inspires me and to communicate a bit about my personality.
I love architecture. I studied fine art and photography, and I have a wanderlust for world travel. I love Paris. I also love interior design. SO, it only seemed fitting that a quatrefoil would provide the cornerstone of the logo – the quatrefoil can be found in both historic architecture and modern design. As with my work I try to bring an old world romanticism, but in a way that is modern, contemporary and artistic. So the quatrefoil it was.
Choosing the colour scheme was a bit of a trick. I had been accustomed to a teal and gold for my colours, but the teal was a little too heavy feeling for me, so I moved to a charcoal and earthy gray. The charcoal grey represents my down-to-earth personality and my love for the outdoors.
The gold was a keeper and really the only remaining aspect of the old logo. This colour for me is all about that dash of luxury. The things we choose to go all out for: The Tiffany Bracelet, the Coach or Michael Kors Purse, The Dress, The Flowers, the full day spa treatment. All these things that transport us out of the everyday and into something truly special. These are the tings wedding days both grand and intimate have in common. There’s always a little splurge.
Like myself, many of my brides relate to my love of travel, style and fashion and down to earth nature. It’s a unique blend and so it needed a little something classic but unique to be the brand that is Melanie Rebane Photography. I sure hope you like it!

There are fewer things more romantic than an engagement session and the warmth of a chilly fall day with the smell of the fresh cool air. Each engagement session is different, and I knew that this day was going to provide na extraordinary backdrop for our romantic engagement session.
Kaitlin and Corey are to be married in 2012 at Stonefields Heritage Farm, a beautiful and elegant wedding venue so fitting this relaxed and down to earth couple. Kaitlin and Corey wanted to incorporate their new puppy into their engagement shoot, so what better place to go but out to a lake. It was a beautiful afternoon and it was great to get to know this awesome couple and their pooch… (wait til you see this bear of a dog!).
Here’s a sneak peak from their beautiful, romantic and relaxed engagement session.
Thank you Kaitlin and Corey so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer for 2012…I will look forward to seeing some familiar faces at the wedding!

Oh, the light is just gorgeous!
Kim and I met first at the wedding show in January when she brought with her a stunning wedding inspiration board. Me with a weakness for all this beautiful, elegant and stylish, fell in love with her vision and was so excited when she and Adam chose me to be their wedding photographer. The fun had only begun. Adam and Kim live in Carp, home of the famous Carp Fair…a special place for them both and one they had visited together many times before. Kim pulled out all the stylish stops from her hair and make-up right down to her amazing red shoes (debuting in part 2)!
Because they wanted a balance of natural images and fun romantic images at the fair, we started our session by the river for some quiet sweet outdoor shots before we hit the fair to partake in fresh squeezed lemonade and enjoyed the magic of the evening lights. Welcome to part 1!
Congratulations to you both! Looking forward to the wedding day…
