Garden Wedding Inspiration from the Bridal Boudoir – Montreal Fleuriste -NDG

So I mentioned in my previous post that the Bridal Boudoir was unlike any show that I participated in. There was so much beauty and inspiration it is going to take a few posts to get it all out. Among one of my favorite vendors was Fleuriste Notre-Dame de Grace. Amazing artistry and detail in the presentation of their “Alice in Wonderland” concept booth to inspire anyone looking to create an outdoor floralscape (did I make that up?) for a garden inspired wedding…I will say no more…because this one…speaks for itself.

Maddy K ‘s Bridal Boudoir – A Boutique Wedding Show – Montreal

I had the honour of being invited to participate in the annual Bridal Boudoir with one of Montreal’s great wedding planners, Madeline Kojakian of Maddy K. This was unlike any wedding show I had ever participated in. It touched on all senses and both fascinated and inspired. I could never get all the beauty and loveliness in one blog post, but I would love to start with sharing some of my favorite Wedding dresses from White in Toronto and Della Sposa in Montreal that featured Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa and Vera Wang. The fashion show was unbelievable…starting with a bang as a contortionist and an acrobat were intermixed for a little dash of sass! I truly loved being surrounded by the amazing talented wedding vendors in Montreal…they were truly among the most stylish and amazing!

The Montreal Gazette describes the event as follows:

“Maddy K is hardly tossing away the multi-tier wedding cake, but Maddy K is offering an alternative to the 100-plus vendor wedding trade shows, which she says are overwhelming and “stuck in the ’80s. Alternatively, at the intimate-style Bridal Boudoir Affair, brides-to-be and their female entourage can get to know caterers, florists, dress designers and photographers that Maddy K has selected. She says these vendors reflect Montreal’s true talent, and can translate a bride’s vision in an inspired and professional manner.”

We have all been to wedding shows that leave you feeling burnt out rather than inspired…and truly, these one leaves you breathless, inspired and overwhelmed only with the many ways you could express your unique style on your wedding day.

Elegant Ottawa Wedding at the Britannia Yacht Club with Lynn Lee of Weddings UnVeiled

I had the wonderful oppourtunity to work with Peter and Stephanie and their wonderful wedding planner Lynn Lee of Weddings Unveiled for their elegant Ottawa Wedding at the Britannia Yacht Club. There were so many more images I could share for this post, but tried to pare it down. The day started with Pete’s mom making a breakfast of Champions for the groom and his boys at her house, while the bride and her bridesmaids were getting hair and make-up done at their hotel suite with one of my favorite sylists, Lori Dyck from ShowPony Style on Site. With Chanel dressing her fingers and toes Stephanie was beautiful in her Robert Bullock Wedding dress from Luxe Bridal, the couple came together on the Terrace of the Chateau Laurier for a first look.

From the Chateau Laurier we made our way to the Britannia Yacht Club for their beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony that was dressed in beautiful floral designs by Talisman Florists. The outdoor ceremony was performed by one of my favorite Ottawa Officiants, Lynn Langille, who always creates a truly personal ceremony for my couples and their guests.

The ceremony was followed by an intimate wedding reception at the club where their closest family and friends came together to celebrate this exceptional couple. It was a fabulous day, right down to the speeches. And much fun was had at the photo booth…but that’s for another post…enjoy!

A Winter Engagement – Ottawa Wedding Photographer

It was love at first sight for Paul and Diane who met while working at the Governor General’s two years ago and they have been madly in love ever since. They will be married in a sweet church in New Edinburgh with a wedding reception to follow at The Marshes this Fall.

We braved the Ottawa winter to create a special cosy winter engagement session. There’s lots of cuddling to keep warm We braved -20 temperature… but love the results of the warm sun against the cold snow…enjoy!
