We skipped spring and went straight to summer this weekend – Which gave us lots of sun and a warm breeze for shooting Stephanie and Stefan’s engagement session. I cannot express how excited I am to shoot their June 8th wedding! Here’s a little taste of what we did. More to come soon!

We have completely fallen in love with the leather cover options for our boudoir albums! Each album is edited, retouched, and designed with care by yours truly. We work closely with you to make sure that you are in love with your images and overall design. It is a perfect gift for your significant other, or even a little treat for yourself.

Here are a few shots from Stacey and Jess’s birthday party, that I got to shoot a few weekends ago. We were so excited to be working with Ashley Lindzon of Ashley Lindzon Events. All the details came together beautifully as these two girls celebrated their important day. With a few hand made details by Ashley, and sweets done by the always amazing Sophie of Sophie Bifield Cake Company, it was pleasing to the eyes, soul, and of course – taste buds. Ottawa Bridal Party – Highlights

We were so excited to be part of the first ever Ottawa Bridal Party! This wedding show promised to be less of a show and more of an experience for the brides-to-be, and it definitely lived up to it’s promise. With valet parking, wine, hair and make-up makeup stations, hors d’ouvres and more, the organizers created a little getaway for the couples that attended. It was also very exciting to be sharing the stage with 30 wonderful vendors in the Ottawa area. I managed to slip away from our booth for a while and grab some shots of some of the vendors. Fine Art Wedding Albums – Custom Canvas panel with Luxurious Leather

The finished product of a wedding is not the USB of images, for me the final product is the perfected versions of those images coming together into your wedding story in an heirloom quality album that will be cherished as you grow old and share the story with your families. I did not heistate to have a beautiful wedding album for my own wedding and have never questioned it’s value and the joy I get from sharing the images of my husband and I at this very special milestone. I am so excited to share with you some of the beautiful custom albums we created with many of our clients this year from our favorite professional album companies. Here we are showing our canvas panel and leather album from Eric and Leanne’s wedding. We used a buttery neutral leather that would compliment the warmth of the wedding day and in the image they chose for their cover. The canvas panel is seamless with the leather which continues along the spine and onto the back of the book.

Portfolio Series #13 – Perfection

In each wedding there are moments that tell a story, are meaningful or just amazing for the simplicity of the moment that is captured. They are important moments; but may rarely find themselves included in a wedding magazine or blog, but to me it would be a shame if they were not shown. This is at the heart of my Wedding Portfolio Series. Through this series of photographs I showcase some favorite moments captured on the wedding day.

How perfect that our first in the Portfolio series for 2013 is lucky #13. In “Perfection”, our lovely bride Jessica is being doted on to change her necklace, fix her hair and touch up her lips. I love the composition and movement of this image. I love the brides expression and the position of her ladies around her to make her absolutely perfect for her big day.

Wedding planners are doing more than running logistics, many are working with couples as the “interior designers” and “stylists” of your wedding day. Wedding Cake designers and florists are all part of bring the details that will fascinate and delight your guests and Ottawa has some amazing talent to draw on. I had a wonderful time capturing some of the gorgeous details and concepts and at the show and if you missed it, here is a preview. Wedluxe Wedding Show Highlights – Wedding Photographer

I have been to a number of amazing luxury wedding events but I have to say that Angela Desveaux and her team at Wedluxe Magazine and the talent at the show came together to bring Wedluxe Magazine to life. Many of the vignettes from the most recent issue of the magazine were brought to life. YOu could sample, feel, taste and feast your eyes on miles of inspiration. It was truly amazing. For me it was a great way to see some of the wedding trends for 2013 – to sum it up in one word…it is GLAMOUROUS. Here are some of the gorgeous highlights.
